I was on NJ EUC Tier 1 since last year . I got the following message when I tried to claim my benefits today.

The benefit year on your unemployment claim dated 03-18-2012 has expired.
No unemployment benefits are available to you at this time.

I thought I would move to Tier II. Do I have to call to have them do that ? Is that the case or are my benefits done.

Thanks.

You need to call Unemployment to recertify your claim once you have been on unemployment for one year.
