Ok. I've been on unemployment for 1 yr. BYE was Dece
mber 21,2013.
I DID NOT file a new claim but a NEW claim was filed on my behalf.
I know this because I received a monetery determination in the mail which says 'DATE FILED" was DEC. 23
And says Date determined( im guessing the $) was 1/15/14
I've not been able to certify either.
Got a letter telling me "I've been requested to call between certain dates"and says more info is needed to process my claim and something about my certifications would be discussed!
Im wondering if this may have something to do with my X employer maybe contesting it since its a new claim?
It says on the letter FAILURE TO CALL will result in a loss of benefits or an overpayment? Does that mean if i dont call ill have to repay for the whole year i previously collected since its same job?
I've decided NOT TO PURSUE any more unemployment anyway but dont want to havr to pay back anything!!

Any insight to this would be WONDERFUL! Thanks

Sounds like a bye recert where no new wages are in the system to support a claim. Therefore, new claim notice is invalid. UE office needs to talk to you about possible new wages. You shouldn't have to repay anything paid from the earlier claim.

You won't know for sure until you call. Do as you are told - call them.
