Now that the unemployment extension expired. I am tier 1. I have always file through WebCert but that hasn't let me file a weekly claim since 12/28/2013 and I haven't received any paper claim forms in the mail since. Do I just keep a record of my job search? So I can continue to receive my benefits once Congress restarts the unemployment extensions again?

Any info will be helpful since you can't talk to a live person at the edd.

Thanks,
Sara

I have been, just in case, if/when congress passes this, I'm guessing they will need this info like before... Hope that helps!

If congress passes new legislation the states that have not allowed claimants to certify will have to play catch up. Keep looking for work and recording all contact you make. You may still have to prove you were looking for work during the delay once any new legislation provides additional benefits.

That's been my routine. I was two checks into Tier 1 from a previous claim. That was paid the first week of Jan. Every week since I just do web cert weekly. Then mid week comes I get the "you filed a claim but we can't pay you" letter from the State of Oregon. Then its the same process over again.
