Anywho, back to the point, basically i was collecting unemployment, i tried to claim again the second week of january, and "your claim is not payable at this time". waiting until my appeal hearing from both me and my employer, and i won, i received a letter this past monday (2/3/14). I was able to claim again yesterday and i will receive my benefit s for the previous week. but does anyone know when i will be receiving my back-pay? does it usually take until the next time you claim? or does it take longer? let me know, my rent is depending on this and i'm already 4 days late. thanks everyone and drive safe and stay warm!Read more.

Expect it to take longer - possibly two weeks to a month. You might call NJ - faxing over your decision may speed up the payment process.

Let us know when you get your money.

FYI - we had a post the other day from another NJ claimant. Took 20 days from hearing to her first payment.

That's relatively quick.

This is the first time anyone has reported going to a one-stop and getting their money in NJ. It happens in CA - if claimant can bring in an eviction notice or utility shutoff notice.

Thanks for that update and info.

They wouldn't help me over the phone. Tried for weeks contacting them. As soon as I went to the one stop, she told me ill have it in five minutes. Btw I went to the one in Phillipsburg. Was in and out in five mins
