I have tried 3 different times to contact the Overpayment Dept. and was told they couldn't respond due to the volume of calls. There is no option to send an email or other online contact to them.

The form they sent me seems to imply that they underpaid me, due to an adjustment of my income. I had received a request a couple weeks ago for a copy of my W2 which I sent of course. I have no idea what to do next. I did ask someone to read the form who is more financially astute and he agrees with me.

How is it that they sent me a notice of overpayment? Am I just supposed to wait for another letter from them? Isn't it frustrating enough for those of us who should be receiving extensions to have to sit back and watch the bickering in Congress, all of it I suspect to be political grandstanding.

Currently I have to live on the charity of my fiance, and dipping into my small pension fund -- which will not make the year at this rate.

I hope someone has had this experience and can shed light on it. Thanks, Clare

1. Please include your STATE when posting a question. State laws/precedents differ. It is often putting the cart before the horse to discuss a quit/misconduct/claim issue without first knowing your STATE.
