I am trying to apply for unemployment and I received a letter saying that I was disqualified for Consciously demonstrating a poor attitude and actions were not in the best interests of the employer.

I gave my supervisor a note asking him to inquire about my benefits that was due to me 6 weeks ago. About 3 hours later my supervisor told me that there were going to be a meeting with the manager with regards to the note I wrote.

When I went into the meeting the supervisor started to talk about the benefits. The manager then asked who wrote the note. I told him I did, then he said are you sure or did your friend write it for you. When I asked him why he asked that. The manager started yelling at me. I asked him not to yell because his yelling was making me nervous. He told me I haven't heard yelling yet. I started to walk out and he said if you walk out that is your resignation. I walked back in and said, that everything was ok when we started the meeting lets get back to that he continued to yell, I walked out. I came back a few minutes later my supervisor told me to go home and he will call me. He never did call. I went into work the next morning, and my supervisor said I resigned.

What everyone's opinion, should I appeal?

You appeal, and let the employer prove what you did. Don't tell this story. when you use the words "walk out" too much chance of things getting miscontrued.
