I owed $398 for past earnings and per your suggestion asap and told NJ Unemployment via telephone and they and I asked of they wanted me to send a check. They said no. The money would be subtracted from my next three payments which it was.
But when the took off the $398, they added that money back into my total Claim Balance. Now the LWD is sending me notices saying I owe the money. I can understand because the took out the money and so we were even but now they added the money back to balance so I get it.
I tried to long onto the website to set up a payment plant and this shows up:

Bureau of Benefit Payment Control

E-Payment Service for Benefit Overpayment
Processing Center

SSN: 149 WIll D Balance Due: $0.00

No balance due, make payment cannot be processed 1. Make Payment 2. Create Installment Plan

Select an Option then click on "Submit"

When I clicked onto submit paymet is shows NO BALANCE.

I guess I have to call them because sending them back their voucher along with 2 copies of where they withdrew the money won't be helpful;. I just don't want a judgement against me. I guess I have to call that department and speak to a live person to resolve this?
What do you suggest I do? Sit tight or be proactive.

I'd call them. Contrary to what I've heard on this board, I had no trouble reaching someone in Ohio for help. Maybe Michigan is the same way. In Ohio, there are several processing centers across the state, and one of those was responsible for processing my claim. Once I found that out, things went much better. Calling the regular 1-800 number was a nightmare. Was on hold for hours and once I did reach someone they were rude and unhelpful. But once I started calling my processing center in Toledo, things went much better. Hell, they alway's answered the phone after a few rings and i never was put on hold. And they were very helpful. So do a little digging and find out who actually processed your claim and call them directly. In Ohio, the number they provide to call if you need help was the general 1-800 whatever number. But burried deep in my paperwork, I did find the address and phone number of the actual person who approved my claim. Good luck!

NJ won't file a judgment, so don't worry about that. How many notices have you received? It may be NJ sent out this correspondence before it inputted the repayments into its system. If your online account is not updated with a reduction of the $398 and/or you get another letter, you'll have to call, or visit a one-stop.

I looked at my notes and I made the call on February 3rd and the "Refund Issue Date" is February 3rd. This is the first notice so I assume you're right once again.
I will keep checking online every Sunday and see if it updates. Thanks.
