Ok I'm on the last tier (I believe) of my benefits- I know its been at least 70 weeks so far. (NJ) Now I hear that they will require listing the employers/ employment I've been seeking- is this standard for the last *tier* of benefits. DON'T GET ME wrong, its not a problem I will do it because YES I have been looking for work BUT if I've been filing the claim online all this time, is there going to be another screen for listing employers now? or will claiming have to be done by snail mail? Just wondering who has experienced this, thank you!!
Good question...I was wondering the same thing. I would hope that since it's so convenient to claim online, that once I was on EB (which is another 3 weeks) I would also be able to do the job search online as well. Snail mail needs to be phased out...
It's a paper you fill out every two weeks and mail in the Friday before you claim. You can still claim as you did before you just have the added step of mailing in the job search sheet.
Beckyfan25, thanks for the info- just another question- since its every two weeks do they then require you to list *6* employers?
I just hope I don't encounter a problem since I'm living in another state at the moment - looking for work here and I hope they don't care if you list out_of_state employers
Yes, three for each week. I am not sure about the out of state employers thing. I do list NYC employeers on my search sheets but that's not an unusual thing in Northern NJ. I think if you cant collect EB when living in another state though.

It doesn't matter where your potential employers are located. Many people apply for positions in other states. Clearly, if you're not living in NJ, you might not be applying for jobs in NJ.
well I never switched over because my benefits would have decreased. I'm down here in Tennessee. I have people sending me my mail from NJ- I'm just concerned that any paper that I send in won't get back to NJ in time. I always used to claim online on a Monday morning

Tennessee wouldn't have paid you anyway. Very few states will pay benefits to transplants if their wages were not earned there. You can file for an interstate claim, but in most cases the state in which you are living refers you to the state from whence you came and that originating/claiming state pays your benefits.
