I am currently unemployed in MN and possibly relocating to IA for a temporary assignment. If job comes to a sudden end and the IA staffing agency is unable to find me a job right away, would I file for unemployment insurance in MN or IA?

In Iowa. They will obtain your income earnings records from Minnesota and process what is called a 'combined wage claim' using both your Iowa and Minnesota earnings to determine how much you are eligible for.
