It doesnt. if you use the benefit calculator you will see that some people are eligible for it and some people are not. That is why it still appears on the website. You claim has to have been filed some time (I cant remember the month) in 2008 to be eligible for EB.

My claim was filed on January 12, 2009 and I am NOT eligible for EB and am on the last tier of EUC

How can you be on your last Tier of EUC if you started in January 09? Did you not get an initial full 26 weeks on your claim?

The reason I ask is that I filed in November 2008 and I'm just now starting Tier 4. By my calculations, you should still be in Tier 3.

You're so right. I've had 4 interviews within the past six weeks. Before that, it was dry.

So yes, the market is opening up. I've been unemployed since the end of June 2007. All of my benefits are exhuasted including EB. I just received my last check for tier IV yesterday. Which was a very small amount.

As of this morning, I received an e-mail to start work tomorrow for a company 5 minutes away from my house. Geez, talk about timing. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.

Stay positive, I'm the perfect example. This was the most nerve wracking experience I've ever been through in my entire life. In the end, there is hope.

With congress back from vacation next week, we should have updates on the current status of current extension proposals.

Congress gets their vacation. Nothing can get in the way of that. Bunch of losers.
