I just exhausted my first 26 weeks. I received a normal Claim for Benefits form on Wednesday that says to claim benefits on 4/26/10. It also shows a balance of $0. I expected the $0 because I ran out of weeks.
Then today I received a Notice to Claimant of Extended Unemployment Compensation (EUC) Eligibility that shows a new benefit amount of $11,680 and says my assigned date to certify for EUC benefits is 5/5/10.
So..... I guess I'm supposed to skip claiming on 4/26/10 and just wait until 5/5/10 right? Or am I better off claiming on 4/26/10 and again on 5/5/10? I've never done this before and don't want to mess anything up.
