I've been a professional psychic for almost twenty years. That doesn't mean that I'm a mind reader. It means that I'm able to pick up thoughts motives, motivations, and personality traits of the person for whom I'm doing the reading, but additionally and more importantly, for the people who are creating good and bad effects on my client. Most of my clients are dealing with troubling relationship problems. It's my job to both take in the psychic impressions, and then to apply them to the situation at hand. There's nothing supernatural about it. Psychic work involves using the the natural abilities that most people have. Since I've had clients for fifteen years or longer, I must be doing something right.

almost everyone believes at some level that it works. The people who try to attack and ridicule psychic ability are terrified of it, terrified that someone may read their deepest and darkest secrets. Rest assured there are evil people; I've seen what's inside of them. Thankfully they seldom call for help; but their victims do.

Inquiring minds want to know....How do you type on the computer if you are deaf and blind?? I assume you have special software...but how do you know who is posting what on a forum?

BTW....I am also an emotional empath....but thankfully not a physical empath....I have enough physical pain of my own without dealing with anyone else's.

I have a lot of my own physical pain (arthritis and fibromyalgia) but somehow other people's physical pain doesn't bother me, at least not directly. It only bothers me in the sense of knowing someone else is suffering.

I go from being able to move around people without my cane at home to running into people with my cane just like any other blind person, lol. The emotions I pick up on the strongest are usually subconscious ones, and most people carry around with them a lot of fear, anxiety, sadness, without even realizing it. I tend to pick up a lot more on negative emotions mainly because our culture encourages expressing positive emotions and keeping negative ones to ourselves, so those end up getting pushed into the subconscious and that's what I pick up on.

Physical empathy, I tend to pick up on energy blockages, which often but don't always present as pain. Either way I can very clearly tell the difference between my own physical pain (I have a lot of it lol) and other people's. A lot of energy blockages are actually those subconscious emotions being stored in the body. There are positive ones too that get stored in the body, for example, when someone is so happy they just got a million dollars but they're at work and they're not allowed to jump up and down and scream with joy and act like a little kid. So that will end up in their body.

That said, I can also feel conscious emotions (like someone who walks in the room feeling joyous, or tension in a room) and other types of physical conditions. I pick up on a lot of the conscious tension between parents and children, especially when they're trying to discipline their kids.

Once I was hanging out with a guy who had 70% of his bones replaced with steel after coming back from Iraq and I could literally feel where his real bone ended and his steel rods began. I could also feel where he was numb (no sense of feeling since his nerves were removed in those parts) and also where he had severe pain. It was incredibly interesting.
I am far less focussed than you obviously are.
I would like to be able to put up a shield, as you put it, but don’t seem to be able to. I just can’t think straight in crowded places, especially places where people are concentrating or trying to make decisions, it’s just one great big muddle.

I don’t feel the physical pain of others, just emotions.

As for feeling peoples emotions when they walk into a room, they don’t even need to be in the same room, I can sense through walls, and at times this can be a bit frustrating and annoying to me. You can’t exactly tell someone to stop thinking or feeling so loudly!

I am not sure whether this is related or not, but I am also sensitive to electro magnetic fields, the type that are emitted from fluorescent lighting, etc.
