Why ?
I would get out my stopwatch until la raza, obama and a few democrats grab them, stuff union cards and voter registrations into their hands, and promise them free healthcare, COLA-adjusted pensions, and a patronage job at their government agency of choice - as long as they voted "democrat" forever.
Then the media would get to call them what they truly were and thoroughly imitated - "illegal aliens."
I would encourage the aliens to please return Al Gore to his home planet.
...and they would be welcome to use Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, John Kerry and the still moving, very large head of Ed Kennedy as fuel for their ships.
There is a series called The Event on TV here. It is not really great, but interesting insofar as it is features aliens that are more or less humans (less than 1% genetic difference), not reptiles or some other nasty critters just pretending to be humans. And they behave similar to us, unfortunately. They have infiltrated the government and other areas for decades without anyone noticing...
They are more advanced technologically, but they are not referred to as aristocrats. From what I have seen so far, hardly anyone even knows about their existence, yet. And they don't behave in a superior way, they display just the same weaknesses and behavior as humans.
They look just like us, some ugly, some beautiful, and most in between. There are also several hybrids of humans and aliens. One can only detect the aliens by means of DNA analysis.

That depends... does E.T. want to be my friend, keep me young forever, shower me with knowledge and technology, study my colon and put needles in my eyes or eat me? It's so hard to tell these days.
