What do you guys think? Is this real or merely publicity for a documentary?

Mayan Documentary Will Show Evidence of Alien Contact, Says Mexico (Exclusive) | Reuters

"In a release to TheWrap, Luis Augusto Garcia Rosado, the minister of tourism for the Mexican state of Campeche, said new evidence has emerged "of contact between the Mayans and extraterrestrials, supported by translations of certain codices, which the government has kept secure in underground vaults for some time."

"He also spoke, in a phone conversation, of "landing pads in the jungle that are 3,000 years old."

I have alien contact every time I try to shop at my local Home Depot and it's also related to the Mexican Government... how odd.

Sounds not too dissimilar to the "Ancient Aliens" series on The History Channel.

It's not new. I also suspect it has to do with encouraging tourism, but these archeological sites in Mexico are definitely worth visiting.

The show itself talks about ET's in our distant past interracting with our ancestors to show them the way. Why did the ET stop doing that?

Because they never did it. This is a pretty interesting documentary.

The thing about Ancient Aliens is that they debunk themselves every time they say "Ancient Alien Theorists believe". Not fact based, not evidence based, it is based on the opinion of a small amount of people.

EXACTLY what I was thinking. Nothing like having a "real" haunted and/or alien-built tourist attraction to boost ticket sales.
