Do you think that orbs that appear in photographs are spirits or souls or some other type of afterlife energy?
If not what do you think they are?

i dont know what they are,but me cuzzin,who was only a young one about 13 at the time showed us photos she took one night of her and her freinds and there in about 3 or pics was this orb hangin over one of me other cuzzins head,one picture was as clear as day,you could see a full circle,the others you could see that there was somethin there but like apart of it was missing,like a half circle,they were in a small attic room and there was no flash on the phone,so i dont know ho it could have been light reflected off anything,kind of freaked her out a bit.
I remember a pic taken on a digital (so no negative problem) which was outdoors and on a bridge and there was this point of light. It was on a tree - covered forest and we simply could not think of an explanation.
Of course it might well be one of those things which, if we did know it - a bottle dropped by a local or someone looking through binoculars - it would be obvious. When we can't think of an obvious explanation it does seem a bit mysterious.
As far as I know, they are simply caused by light reflecting of dust. Now, if someone went into a "clean room" and took a pic and orbs showed up, then maybe they might be something else. But until then, I have to go with the dust explanation.

Dust and the peculiarities of how a camera (digital especially) catches the dust.
I'm mentioned before that I've seen "ghosts" clear as day in my "haunted" house and done ghost hunting as part of an attempt to understand what I experienced at home; It's weird as hell, but I am still not convinced the phenomenon isn't hallucinations caused by ELF waves or some other similar but as-of-yet unknown natural event(s).
What I am sure of is "orbs" and ghost pictures are B.S. and EVP (eletronic voice phenomenon) is hardly better. They tell more about how the brain is hardwired to pick up speech and facial patterns in the environment, It works so well that we see/hear them even when there aren't real faces or human speech to see/hear.
