Not sure it is called a 'logo' but it is metal symbol and is attached to the trunk/boot or rear of cars. It may mean something like this person belongs to a group or society or something. It is similar to the stylised 'fish' symbol that Christians have on their car sometimes which is to represent 'fishers of men' I believe.
I keep seeing a strange metal boot logo on cars driving around the city. Not sure if it is international or not. Anyway, let me describe it.
It is in the shape of a lizard or gecko and is on all kinds of different makes of car, so it is NOT make-of-car specific. As I walk up a road with parked cars there is about 2-4% have these symbols/logos on the rear of their car.

Very similar to the old practice in the 1050s of people running around with a little statue of St. Christopher on their dash, supposed to be the patron saint of travelers to many Christians. Now the white vinyl "stick family" is far more common, this one being my favorite:
People in the states decorate their cars with all kinds of things. I would not call the gecko strange at all. We do not have a plethora of metallic silver geckos here, so it must be regional only. Those I have seen here are colored, or done in a stylized tribal art fashion.
We have lots of actual company logos that people put on thier trunks, bumpers and windows. Nothing strange or unusual, even lots of aliens.
But with that said, the strangest (most rare) sticker I have ever seen was on an all black SUV with very dark tinted windows, had no license plates or even a beauty ring... The sticker was a bear paw, and it said 'Blackwater'... I live in nowhere land and wondered what sort of business Blackwater would have here.

What is unexplained or paranormal about bumper stickers or other decorations?
For a long time, what was unexplained to me was the symbol on the back of the car, but since I then found it when I did a search, I wondered if there were other weird or interesting symbols people put on the back of their cars. The Blackwater paw symbol is interesting for example.
Tuebor, thanks for the reference link to the fish sign.

Reason: Rude, personal attack
I thought the lizard symbolized the "fish that grew legs". It counters the Christian fish with a Darwinian message of Evolution vs Creationism. I thought ... It would be funny if I totally read something like that into something simple.
