If there's already a thread like this mods, feel free to move it, but I didn't see one (unless the title's not obvious).

There are lots of creepy/interesting posts in the personal paranormal experiences thread, but what about weird experiences that (probably) aren't related to anything paranormal? For example, on another forum I read a post where a guy went in to work one day, and everyone was immediately asking him where the heck he'd been for the last three days. They tried calling him, and stopping by his house (I believe one friend even got into his house but he wasn't there), but no one could find him. He didn't remember any of it, and has no idea where he was during that time. I believe there is a medical condition that can cause this, but the weird part is that he apparently wasn't home during that time.

Another one I saw was a poster awoke just after sunrise one morning, only to see a man slinking out of her bedroom. She didn't recognize the man, her parents were both gone on a trip, and her desk chair had been moved so that it was right beside her bed, as though he had been watching her sleep.

Now I realize most of us won't have anything quite as crazy as those, but there are still plenty of fascinating (if more mundane) mysteries that most people seem to experience from time to time, so feel free to post them!

The only one that comes to mind for me is this: I was either in high school or it was shortly after high school, when I awoke one morning and immediately remembered a dream I had had during the night. All I could remember from the dream was seeing a long but minor cut on my arm, and another on my back. They weren't bad wounds, and the weirdest thing was the blood coming out of them was think and chunky; it looked exactly like ketchup. No big deal, I thought, just a weird dream. But when I got in the bathroom and was about to take a shower, I glanced down at my arm and noticed a faint scar I had never seen before. The scar was more or less the same size and position as the cut in my dream. So then, out of curiosity, I picked up a hand mirror and looked at my back in the big bathroom mirror. In the middle of my back, also just like the dream, was a long scar I had never noticed before. I still can't explain that one.

I don't know if this qualifies or not...but once upon a time back in my 20's I had a dream one night that my Dad who I hadn't seen for over 10 years at that time was coming to visit, so I had to get the coffee on. And while it was making, I was looking out the window for him, moving the curtains aside in the kitchen. Later on in that same dream, I dreamt that I was moving, and started taking pictures off the wall, and packing them away..
So I woke the next morning all bewildered because my pictures were all stacked at the end of my bed and on my bed. And I went to the kitchen and the curtains were open, and my cofeemaker was filled with coffee, so I guess I turned that on in my sleep too... It was so weird. I bet my cat was really freaked out by that as well.

Bigfoot!
I had always thought just my daughter and our big dog had an encounter, but recently I learned that my BIL was there at the same time. We lived in the middle of nowhere about 20 miles as the crow flies from the Bigfoot capital of California. We all went to a cabin on the other side of the property because the spring was over there and we were cleaning it out.
We have to park in one spot and make our way down. As daughter and BIL, accompanied by the dog headed up, they saw what they thought was a bear scratching its back against a tree. The dog barked and the thing took off....on two legs, and as the BIL describes, using its arms to move branches out of the way. The dog took off and so did my daughter. But it out-ran both of them.

I once dreamed I was trying to run on my bed and climb up my curtains. The next morning I woke up on the floor with a pain in my chest (where I had hit the bed post) and my curtains and curtain rod laying on top of me. I mean, it wasn't much of a mystery but it was bizarre.

I have a treasured antique marble top table with webbed duck feet that belonged to my grandmother. It had a small box in the middle that is lined with tin and was used to hold tobacco. There is a key as well that stayes in the lock. The door was locked and I wanted to get something out of it but I couldn't find the key. The key was gone for months until we cleaned out the tool room. The key is very small and unique and I recognized it immediately. How did the key get from the back bedroom, down two flights of stairs and wind up on a shelf in the opposite side of the house? The key is now kept in the tin box and is still there. Our house has always been a little strange.

I've always wondered why they kept Spandau Prison open at considerable expense just to keep Rudolf Hess locked up and silenced. No one was allowed to even speak to him. If he had so terrible a secret to tell the world, why not just arrange for him to get suddenly sick and die? Why the necessity of keeping him alive and silent? Most peculiar.
