Mainly, I am talking about places, not homes or rooms, but cities, towns and regions. States, countries or provinces. Sometimes there are roads like that.

With the place I first mentioned, when people acclimated to it, their lives went down hill. The people who were miserable there, eventually moved.

It was a place that should have had high RE values, given it's desirable location on the Atlantic Ocean, but there was... something wrong with it... for lack of a better phrase..because I don't have one.

The strangest thing about it for me was that during the time I lived there, I experienced NO PARANORMAL ACTIVITY...and for me that was strange.
But live was weird there.

That is so creepy! It also could be the mines that lie under us.
Remember the Smurl haunting in West Pittston? It was on Chase Street. Another house that seems to have eyes.

I know of some local places that can really throw off my sense of direction. It might be the winding roads or topography but I think its also due to the iron deposits in the area. Its hard to get a bearing on whether you're going north south or east or west. Again there are large iron deposts there that were commercially mined. Both areas have a feel about them, kind of unsettling.

My weird ring was the same..like ding ding ding! Then nothing.
Once I answered it with my cousin and it was fast laughter. Like not a man or a woman, something without gender and fast. Like a wind up clown toy. Uggh!

now THAT IS CREEPY.

i don't mean to be a drama queen or go off topic here, but seriously, i think it was john keen who wrote about that phenomenon, about how people who have an unexplained encounter sometimes get those types of calls. i have heard them described as literally a wind up toy, or a child's toy, or the voice being very high or fast or both. this is not uncommon. seriously guys, that's creepy.

Not so much a region, but where I live has some serious negative energy and bad juju. It's been blessed many times over and nothing can seem to clear it... recently the owner sold the property, the new guy signs papers later this month I believe... it'll be his problem then.

I'll be happy to be rid of it.

i've been in a few houses that had a bad vibe. i don't know what causes it, really, but i think it is a measurable phenomena, or will be measurable once science catches up.

one place that i have been to that gave me more than the Creeps, actually gave me the Fear, was the abandoned Zoo at Griffith Park here in L.A. i have gone to loads of abandoned buildings, often alone; so-called haunted houses, even belonged to a paranormal group that gave tours of the old Linda Vista hospital (lots of youtube videos about that place). but i never felt any real fear. maybe got the creeps, but nothing really happened.

but the zoo really frightened me. i mean, i wanted to run. there is a certain area behind the enclosures that just made my alarm go off the chain. i had to stop myself from running down the road. i just felt like there was danger everywhere, and it was palpable. and i hadn't felt the creeps before that at all. and it was in broad daylight.
i have since been back there and haven't felt anything in that same area. for all i know, maybe someone was lurking, waiting for someone. maybe it was coyotes, tho i have been around coyotes before and didn't feel that. it definitely felt like an evil presence. i felt like i was being watched, even with people walking around me. when you don't feel that at midnight inside a haunted, dark hospital, you tend to pay attention.

there was also another area in the town i grew up in, and there is a massive story connected to that, but that's for another thread. : )

I have a friend whose family bought a small farm that backed up to a river. The land was very fertile and they built a house on a slope along side the water. They lived in the house five years and she had seven surgeries during that five years. Her husband had three major farming accidents during that five years. Her daughter-in-law (who lived in another house on the same property) had a miscarriage and a stillbirth during the five year period.

Now all of this could have been chalked up to life, except they decided to move and sold the property and house. The new buyers began to experience health issues and accidents. The house has had three sets of residents who each had difficulities which began after moving in.

The house has been for sale for two years. Even though the price is reasonable, there have been no takers.

What goes on there? Are you moving when it's sold?
