How will I know if someone is "legit" or not? Is there something I should be looking for?

I google searched psychics in my area and at least 10 websites showed up. Is there a better way of finding "the real deal"?

Also, will going to a psychic/medium make me vulnerable to having "negative" spirits or energy? I definitely don't want that to happen...

No negitive spirits or energy attaches by visiting a psychic.
The best way to know a good psychic in your location is to ask around. That could be difficult for some, in certain locations and situations. But if you know quite a few open-minded or new age types, if they have not been to a psychic, they might know someone who has and how it went.
'Word of mouth' is your best bet in finding a genuine psychic.

With Sylvia Browne dead, you have one less chance of going to the wrong one.

The city I'm moving to is pretty new, I have a few friends there, but none that would know of a psychic/medium.

On the psychic/medium websites, is there anything specific that would be a huge red flag?

Is there another website/forum that would have more location specific information?

Do you really want to pay someone for information that may or may not be correct? I've had two strange experiences with so called psychics. One said that I would win the lottery, still waiting on that, and he said that I had three children. Wrong again but I did have three pets that I considered my kids. (Hmmmmm I have three pets again and I bought a ticket for Mega's drawing tonight.) The other psychic asked me if I was psychic. I told her that I had some strange experiences in that area. These were chance encounters and I wouldn't dream of paying for any readings.

Save your money. There is no "right psychic" or "legit psychic." It's all just wishful thinking and looking for confirmation. Take control of your own life. Don't pay someone to make up some dumb *****.
