As far as I know they stopped filming Paranormal State after 2010, possibly early 2011.

The line 'you've been told nothing about the investigation' to ensure Chip Coffey didn't come across as what he is...a fraud. I'll give him a little credit, he may have some psychic ability. According to what I've read, even Michelle Bellinger (another PS psychic) commented Chip wasn't 'the real deal'.

After reports of fraud by some of the homeowners, the show lost its credibility.

An FYI, Ryan Buell is the proud owner of a Taco Bell near Penn State.

I really like Paranormal State. It's better than most paranormal shows. Ryan is likeable, the rest of the crew is forgetable though.

I think so too. I think he's sincere, but I don't always agree. I think it's a TV show so some of it will be made more dramatic.

I'm sorry to hear about Ryan's cancer.

Not a fan of Michelle, either -- she apparently is proud of being a psychic vampire. Having had to deal with one and it took forever to get her out of my life, I can't imagine in any way shape or form that being a good thing.

Ugh!!!!!! probably my least favorite ever. i can't stand someone calling something "paranormal" when really, what they do amounts to exorcisms and junk science. at least ghost hunters try and eliminate in a way that is approaching scientific. i believe wholeheartedly in this stuff (ergo my presence on this thread), but nothing annoys me more in this field than fakirs, drama queens and people who believe every creak is a demon. they aren't handling it like real paranormal investigators at all. they spend one night somewhere, have some psychics come in and mumble, turn the lights out for an hour, and voila, an investigation! and of course, every bit of weirdness is ALWAYS a demon. i often wonder if they go to any jew's house with their "in jesus' name, amen" number. maybe "SNL" should do a skit!!! : ) (not downing jesus, he's alright with me.)

and the young girl who was supposedly descended from generations of witches, and was an "expert".....any one these days can claim to be an expert in this stuff after loading up at the local bookstore or reading a few articles online. and alot of people claim to be descended from witches, but never show any sort of proof. and what proof could there be? family legend? a book of shadows? she looks like she is about 17 and it must be a plum gig for her, so roll with it, but its kinda annoying.

chip coffey is good for some laughs tho. what was the episode where they went to mothman country up in west virginia and he is standing where the bridge fell, and he starts in with his "i feel like something BAD happened here!" number....me and my sister have a running joke about that one. he was standing in front of the memorial for the bridge victims for chrissakes! yeah chip, something bad happened there, and it didn't take a psychic to tell me that.....

I remember her saying shes a third generation pagan, so I suppose growing up with it would give you a degree of expertise. I don't know??

Yeah, I agree shes odd, but not a fake.

I think I'll include psychic vampire in the paranormal glossary.
