I have heard this too and it's really strange. It didn't come out of my own mouth -but a friend's. Other than radio waves does anyone have any other theory? Do you think it could be related to mediumisisitc abilities, as in being a good receiver? I dunno, just a thought.
It is most definitely not spirits and most probably the military testing their method of blasting thoughts into our heads.
In particular, what gives it away is the 'changing stations' sound and the music changing. So now, you guys who hear spirits will never know if it is some corporal in the army sending messages to us to make us do weird or wonderful things. Just another terrorists-stopping military technique !
For example: There are already some poeple who believe that the military have technology to send out low frequency/high frequency messages which we can pick up subconsciously. Who knows what stuff the military are experimenting with and there are all kinds of similar strange reports of flocks of birds just dropping out of the sky etc. It could be another of the military experiments.
Other people hear a low rumbling sound as if there is quarrying going on nearby or as if a large truck is constantly passing.

This happened to me in the 1980s so it is not a new development.
It has never happened since.
I can say this -- when we moved from Pittsburgh PA to the Bay Area in California, I really really missed KDKA radio. (this was 28 years ago)
And one night in my homesickness, I fiddled with the radio dial.. thought I heard it, turned the radio around, lifted the electrical cord... and BANG
I was listening to KDKA.
Wow KDKA in cali?? --- Thats like WLS's amazing coverage.... (They get to 48 of the 50 states @ night (Even were heard in Northern South america i heard!!))

I don't think that is the case, but I really don't know what did, might have been going on.
I'd just blame it on the military.
