Did you meet her in the winter, and come back in the summer? Even African Americans will "Tan" in the summer months...just not as intentionally as lighter skinned people.
lol. no, it was just a few days later. i am also black/aa, i know we get darker in summer.
Sometimes we remember things differently from the way they are. For example, before we purchased our house, we walked through it a few times. After leaving the house I tried to make a schematic drawing of the interior of the home, from memory. I was way off on the shape and size of one room. Your memory might have changed your perception of the child's looks, and that is why the child looked differently to you, the next time you saw her.
There are a lot of people trying to suggest that you were mistaken and we often get that - we doubt ourselves after a while because others have made us doubtful whether we actually saw what we saw.
This comes from my belief, so take it with a truckload of salt.
If anything of what they say about December 2012 is true, what we should be seeing is more instances of dimensional blending as the time for this gets closer. We have had some very strange experiences recounted on this forum and I have no doubt that they are also on other similar forums. However, as you know we see what we want to see and notice these things more when they confirm our beliefs. There do seem to be more people having these weird experiences as I perceive it.
One I read on here I think involved seeing her husband came home, kiss her, and her kids and then go upstairs for a shower.....called him later... no answer Then he comes in the front door for the first time that evening and the family all look at him as if they have seen a ghost - which they did. :-)
There is no reason why you should not have been experiencing a dimensional shift but nothing to worry about. Put it down to experience and move on, happy that you experienced it.

I experienced the exact samething as her. My keys, they travelled from the coffee table to my pocket! It dimensionally blended from my dining table to my coffee table to my pocket!
What I'm thinking of is a possible problem with your "face memory", or the memories you store of other people's faces. That can be affected, for example, in certain types of temporal lobe epilepsy. Many neurological "events" like this seem to happen like this as just one-off occurrences without a proper explanation. If you also suffer from funny turns, deja vu or moments of derealisation/depersonalisation, or there's a family history of these things, it would be significant enough for you to speak to your medical practitioner about it.

EVERYTHING you perceive, is figment of your mind. And I am not the one who coined this, Al Einstein did. From that on, personally, I'd have forgotten about it, as it did not cause any adverse aftereffects and should be "let go" as such. But keep in mind one thing: even for twins, there are no two people on Earth, that will have identical perception of what is called "reality".
Which is nothing more than figment of a mind anyway.
