I think she is psychic. I've seen her consulted on other shows. I'm sure some of the stories are embellished a bit for dramatic effect. I watch it weekly and find it fascinating.
I really enjoy Dead Files. I like the research Steve does. And frankly -- even if she is acting -- she's good at creepy. My husband -- a TOTAL non believer -- thinks she makes the show. It's the only one he will watch. The rest of them he can't stand.

She does have a flair for the dramatic doesn't she! I enjoy watching the show too.
I recently was reading about it and watched a few videos online and they said that Amy is or was battling some sort of cancer I saw a video interview of Steve and he was very boisterous and used curse words like they were going out of style. I can see that they really tone him down for the Dead Files show.
Interestingly, Ryan, the host of Paranormal state is currently battling pancreatic cancer at such a young age. Love both of these shows and hate to see both of them having serious health issues like this. I still wonder why grant left GHI, although that show lost my interest a few years ago when it became too boring and repetitive.

My feelings exactly! While Amy Allen is very believable, she also has to be. It's TV entertainment afterall.
And yes, I've read about Ryan Buel fighting a very serious cancer as well. Prayers to him. Ghost Hunters, well, I'm so tired of "did you see that? did you hear that?" and the camera man is focused only on the GH team members and you see nothing.
There have been a few episodes of GH, where video footage shows "something" (think of the St. Augustine Lighthouse episode) but it's all subject to interpretation. EVERYBODY is going to see "something" moving around in the dark when in a strange place. And a lot of the places GH investigates are abandoned and probably have homeless persons, teens, etc roaming around.
Ghost Adventures, well, that's all Hollywood to me. With that show, I don't even think their video evidence that they DO capture is real.
Now the biggest question I have is what do you all think about the Long Island Medium? Good actress? The real deal?
Watched the show a couple of times, all the participants left alot to be desired, as for a "psychic", fooled me if there really was one a opposed to "said tbe one". I have stopped watching it and don't speak highly of it should anyone ask my opinion of it.
