I'm not sure I believe in astrology, but there does seem to be an uncanny number of people in my life who are true to their signs. That being said, I'm also a Pisces, and the best relationships I've had have been with Sagittariuses, which is supposed to be the worst match lol

These supposed best and worst matches are based ONLY on Sun sign traits.
The Sun sign represents the inner-self, the ego. It does not complete a picture of the personality or emotional needs. Those traits are found in the ascendant and Moon signs.
In astrology, when looking to find a 'good' match, the placement of Venus for men, and Mars for women is considered. Then there is the Sun Moon Midpoints.
There are two main methods of looking into relationships using the whole natal chart.
A Synastry chart; putting both charts 'side by side' and looking at the aspects between the two. This expresses the manner if interaction between two personalities.
A Composite chart is a single chart made from figuring the midpoints of each of the stellar bodies and other locational points (ascendant, etc). This chart is the 'personality' of the relationship itself as if it was its own entity.
So two people with compatible sun signs may have a Composite chart that screams an unsatisfactory union.
And likewise, two people with 'opposing' sun signs may be a very compatible blending.

The powerful caffeine industry only hires the scientists that will only shed a positive light on their industry. Looking for the truth, then use your intuition, and discard the scientific research altogether!
For those that have total belief in the merits of Astrology, like myself, I wish millions more would read this worthless, uploaded research project and continue on with their blind dating! Yes, some are even "blind-dating" right up until their 50th Wedding Anniversaries!
To merely use Astrology and only look at someone's Sun sign, is like buying a car and not knowing what's inside the engine!
If you don't want to bother looking up all the placements on someone, then for God's sakes, at least discover what their moon sign is! If you have a positive moon sign (Aries/Saj/Leo/Aquarius/Gemini/Libra) then stay clear of the those with the negative moon signs, particularly the watery moon signs (Cancer/Pisces/Scorpio) and I'll include Capricorn.
If having great sex is important to you, then look up their Venus/Mars signs. You like nice, long sessions in bed that go on for hours on end, then Mars in Scorpio or Taurus will do the job! Like it to get over as quick as possible then the Mars in the quick-trigger Fire signs (Leo/Saj/Aries) will provide that for you.
Like to talk a lot during sex, then find yourself someone with Mars in the Air signs: Aquarius/Libra/Gemini.

Astrology is essentially a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you believe your sun sign is accurate about you, then you will act that way. I don't believe there is any merit to astrology other than coincidences. Of all the people who could possibly be born in one month's time, of course you will find many who are similar to each other.
But I do like to read horoscopes for fun. I'm a Pisces too and my moon sign is Aries. Rising sign, Taurus.
This topic has been beaten to death on the forums. It all boils down to some people will believe and some people will not. The ones who do aren't going to convince the ones who don't and the ones who don't aren't going to convince the ones who do.
Maybe cute for a tattoo or bumbersticker but having anything to do with reality, I think they are there because man created them to explain "his" various pasts, religious beliefs, etc. As to influencing we mortals, fun to read about but as for reality, believe if you like, I'll pass.
