Living in a Big Foot hot zone, I can say that there are a variety of creatures, entities if you prefer, who are largely unknown. Are they dangerous? We don't know, but an inordinately large number of people do disappear in the Rockies every year.

And...an inordinately large number of people go hiking without maps, utterly unable to perform the most rudimentary of orienteering skills even if they did happen to have one, and woefully unprepared for variable environmental challenges in wilderness areas.
