Do you believe in UFOs?

I do . The universe is so large it seems unlikey there is not life on another planet somewhere, and there have been so many documented sightings of phenomena here on Earth that cannot be explained I do I really do. What is your opinion?

Also if you are a Star Trek, Star Wars, or other Sci Fi fan is it because you believe in life on other planets?

Here is one example.

I don't believe we will ever see one or that one will ever come to earth. It's be speculated that life exists somewhere other than Earth, even intelligent life. But so far it's only speculation.

The nearest possible sources of intelligent life are very far away. Farther than a spaceship can go in a lifetime. Fuel, sustenance, air, maintenance, etc. issues seem to be too great to overcome for a flying saucer to overcome to make a journey of that type.

And the universe is getting bigger. The distance to the nearest intelligent life home, if there is one, are getting longer all the time. In other words, the clock is ticking.

Sure, there are all sorts of speculations that can be offered: maybe they live forever, maybe their technology is beyond our comprehension, etc., etc. The law of independent probabilities. None of these amount to knowing anything. In the absence of knowing anything, people can believe whatever they like. But the only reason they believe it is because it's something they like to believe, not that it has any evidence to support it.

I also believe that JFK was killed by Lee Harvey Oswald and that he acted alone. I don't believe in astrology, Sasquatch or the Loch Ness monster.

Thank you for your post I respect your differing opinion but what do you believe the explanation for those strange sightings by people are if you do not think they are UFOs?

They've all been explained. This one will, too.

I think there are UFO's. Always has been. I think we humans are the "undesirables", the evil, malicious offspring of a higher, way more intelligent race.
I think that's why we're here on earth. Earth is like a huge prison for us misfits.

Default Do you believe in UFOs?

I don't believe UFOs are alien spacecraft paying us a visit.

I do believe that lots of people have very active imaginations and an emotional need to see what they want to see.

Hummm...Well..I do not "DISBELIEVE" Mainly because I haven't personally experienced seeing an alien or spaceship...BUT I will never be so arrogant to assume there is NOT!!

WE, as human beings are but an ant on our own planet..Who are we to assume in a Galaxy..WE are the only living entity?? It's a big presumption..

I would say yes and no and i'll explain it this way.

Do i believe earth is the only body in a vast space that has life? It seems that logic says the odds are pretty good something is "out there" in space, another world similar to ours.

However, i don't believe that any of these "beings" from these other worlds have visited earth, i think we would know about it if it happened, we would have concrete proof, not just "unexplained phenomena".

I've seen a UFO.

It was shaped like a cylinder and it stood silent hovering at about 3000 feet above ground.

They are here.

When I was reading Asimov, Crighton, Bradbury, and the list goes on watching shows about people abducted, it was neat to watch. I didn't believe it, I believed it was only a possibility. I'm agnostic and it seems to fit here.

I love Star Trek (almost all of the take offs and the original). I don't believe we're alone in the universe and I don't know how many thousands or millions of years it will take to get evidence of that other life and it will happen. I have seen things in the sky that I can't explain but that doesn't make them a UFO. I think all sightings can be explained. If they can't be, it draws in viewers and money is made.

I won't watch youtube, so I can't respond to the video.
