When we have gone upstairs to play our harps in the clouds, it is probably very difficult to let the people we love know that we are still thinking of them and wishing them well.
Maybe the finding money is all about "Hey, I'm still here looking out for you and hoping to bring more money to you". Perhaps we should acknowledge it (and those who are trying to send us messages) each time we find money and just say thanks.
That is a very interesting take on normal things like finding change. I do see how it could comfort some people. If it makes you happy and doesn't harm yourself or others I am all for believing it.
There is a theory that we are all creators, but we create by visualizing things, things which are created in the level above our 3D reality. The more energy we fire at our creation, the more likely it is to drop down and manifest in our 3D reality.
Obviously, not everyone is as good as everyone else. So, someone who spends a lot of time visualizing something in detail and can see it in his/her hand as part of their life will be better at manifesting it into their life. Gratitude for things already in our life also plays a role I believe too. Yes, lots of books on this.

Too bad I’m not finding $100 bills. How would I acknowledge it. It can’t be my deceased mom because this started long before she died. Been going on since 1996 or so.
Finding 100 dollar bills is relative. What if you suddenly got your dream job with the dream salary? That would be as-good-as wouldn't it? You are taking things too literally, open up a bit and try to see things from another broader perspective.
You can acknowledge any of the smaller things you are grateful of, can't you? That would be a start and then as things got better, hopefully there would be those 'dream jobs' to be grateful for later.
