“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”
― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
So if some think the earth flat, I'll still enjoy it no matter the shape.
The earth must be flat. If it were curved into a sphere as some claim then things would fall off the edges. Things like satellites that 'orbit' the earth are an anomaly and should be ignored. I'm still wondering where the moon (and sun) goes when it isn't in the middle of the sky?
It has been so gratifying to experience the numerous responses to this thread; I can't offer enough "thanks you's" to everyone who has offered their opinions (both "right" and "wrong".) BTW-An excellent source of information on this topic (for those who are interested) is The International Flat Earth Research Society...Enjoy and keep asking questions.
And in response to those of you who are trying to explain all of this using logic, reason and "science" ;don't bother. Another example of "scientists" trying to explain things. If science had the answers to everything they wouldn't be changing their minds all the time. The Earth is 5 million miles away from the sun , no it's 50 million miles, no it's 93 million; no it's 98 million. Which is it? Oh; and what about Pluto? First it exists; then it doesn't. Then we spend billions of dollars to "prove" it does...now that's hilarious. Wake up people. Flat Earth Rules.

The Sun 'rotates" around the North Pole and shines light down on us like a "spotlight" when overhead. At night the Sun rotates to another place over the Earth. This also explains why it is usually "warmer" when the Sun is shining on us and "cooler" when the Moon is overhead. To better understand this concept you should probably "free" yourself (as I have) from astronomy's Heliocentric Theory The Sun is NOT the center of the Solar system (or the Universe); but that is probably a topic for another discussion (thread.)
Have you ever seen a solar or lunar eclipse or the phases of the lunar cycle ?
The edges sure do look like they're round.
But it could be argued that the earth could just be a flat round disc like holding a frisbee up to a light source ?

Pluto has always existed. The only question is how it should be classified.

So you ADMIT you are not logical and do not engage reason. What color is the sky in your world then?
If you think there is an edge, why don't you get to the edge, take a camera, shoot a few pictures, and post them here? Go on. We will wait.
So we look through telescopes and the other planets and moons are round BUT our Earth all alone in the universe is a flat plane. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
