It's more terrifying to live with someone and still feel alone.

Considering the size of the universe it's not likely we're alone. It doesn't bother me either way.

Ditto. Given the size of the cosmos, I'd be very surprised if the universe isn't teeming with life. But I'm not losing any sleep over it either way.

I doubt it very much, lots of things have to come into play for a planet to support life, I don't think we'll be getting any visitors anytime soon, especially the way things are on planet Earth these days any visitors would be wise to keep well away.

Any aliens who are smart enough to do any intergalactic traveling wouldn't bother with a trainwreck like planet earth anyway, unless they blew it up to put it out of it's misery.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is life elsewhere in the Universe, but I'd be inclined to think any complex intelligent life is probably a rare form of life. Even though we have yet to discover any form of life, microbial or otherwise, we have no actual idea one way or the other.

If we're all there is in the entire universe, I don't see that as being anything terrifying. After all, we're not exactly alone. The Earth has plenty of life forms as it is, and about 7 billion of those are other human beings.
