While visiting a cemetery years ago in the summer, a large number of crows begin showing up. They were arriving from all directions. Eventually thousands. It was a large cemetery and covered. The thing that baffles me is they came from all directions as if it were a scheduled event. Ive never seen more than 3-5 crows at a time otherwise. If you know of similar experiences do share.

This is common, especially in the evening. Crows seem to find a place to roost together for the night. I am pretty sure they use the same place multiple nights. A cemetery would be good for them with a lot of trees and very few people around.
There have also been experiments that show they can pass some information down to their offspring; there was a show on PBS about this but I can't remember the name of the researchers. Crows will gather around a deceased member of the flock and inspect it, so-called crow funerals:

Maybe they gather in our cemeteries to celebrate our deaths and their plans to eventually become our avian overlords.
While I cannot watch the video, I recently saw a science show that showed evidence they have funerals of sorts for their own. They certainly are smart. Lets hope The Birds film does not come true.
I can't imagine letting crows use a cemetery for a roost. Imagine the outcry if someone visited a loved ones gravesite only to find the tombstone covered with guano.
A crow is my animal spirit totem. There is a lot of different opinions on what a (mass)visitation might mean. Different cultures have different interpretations. It might be interesting for you to research/learn if any of the other stuff going on in your life coincide with any of the beliefs that are common to those cultures in regards to crow visitation.

"Let" them?
Hahaha! Like they're gonna ask permission?
