I was in a witch costume nine feet tall one Halloween - scared the wits out of my child and wife. As for that werewolf mask - I tried one just like it in a pop-up Halloween costume store several years back - I even remember that long mane. Oh, and that individual was standing near a light to be seen - not something a predatory critter would do. AHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

If it had been someone in a costume, why only the one time, seems like they would have gotten a kick out of all the exposure/ attention and showed up again from time to time?

There is also the height thing and running so fast, if they were on stilts or something, they could not run and definitely not as fast as the video was said to show. I never saw the video, apparently the Erlanger PD had the video as of 2013, but my dispatcher friend no longer works there, she told me she had seen it the day after, so who knows.

That's called third-party hearsay.

Well, since it was video, wouldn't it be third-party seeshow?

There are old stories of an existing tribe doing this. No involvement of wolves, but the technique had the same outcome. One particular story comes to mind. There was this starving man, and he went to a neighboring tribe to beg for food. The tribe welcomed him and fed him generously, cooking up posole and excessively feeding the man. After he ate too much, they started touching him in a way people touch livestock to determine if they're fat and ready to be butchered. This man got scared and ran off. The menfolk of the other tribe ran after him with clubs. This man's stomach hindered his running, so he vomited up all the food he previously ate. After vomiting, he ran much easier. He found a badger hole and crawled inside, covering the hole with a bush. He could hear his pursuers running past and asking themselves where he went. After his pursuers all ran past, he crawled out and ran the other way, getting away with his life.
