"Eltjo Haselhoff is best known as a Dutch 'fingerstyle' guitarist and composer, although he has delved into numerous other endeavours, including arts, science, musical instrument building and engineering."
Is this the same Haselhoff who authored the above article? I've been unable to determine what his PhD is in, or where he got it. Is he an acknowledge plant physiology expert? This appears to be the article referenced on the "Humans Are Free" site:
What's missing here is whatever debate occurred after the publication of said article. A lot of odd things get published in peer-reviewed journals; for example, the Pons-Fleischmann cold fusion research which could not be reproduced and was likely a measurement error ("...the most likely explanation was tritium contamination in the palladium electrodes or simply contamination due to sloppy work..."). Just because something's printed in a peer-reviewed journal doesn't mean it's going to become the basis of an accepted theory.
By extension: we see lots of snowmen around my town after a snowfall. We have seen children making some of them. But that isn't proof only children make them. Therefore, at least some snowmen are the product of alien technology. What could they be trying to tell us?
