If you are referring to the first story with the floating ghost, I must say its not impressive at all. The other one in the comments with the driver being stalked by the lunatic is though! The descriptive graffiti was nasty in that one bathroom. Few good things go on at roadside rest stops at night.
If true that's pretty terrifying. He's basically saying this guy stalked him for months and knew his routine. Think about that..... Some guy randomly chose this driver to be his victim.
I don't care if it's true or not, this is one of the creepiest/scariest stories I've heard in a while. Some subtle details really enhanced it; the "LOL!!!" in the message on the wall, the description of the guy's mouth... Ugh. I hate rest stops, let alone at night.
The second story was pretty damn creepy. I don't know if it was true or not, but yeah, definitely a bit weird. I think one of the things that made the story a bit more creepy and "true" was how it was written too, it didn't read like it was a professional writer or someone trying to scare you, it had an average guy on the street sorta vibe to it when reading it, to me, at least.
The second story is pretty creepy. Although I call BS just because of how many times the guy had to stop to pee. Most adult males under retirement age can go for hours drinking coffee without having to pee as much as this guy did. Plus every guy I've ever met considers it a huge waste of time to stop even once on a 6 hour roadtrip so for this guy to stop 3 times in 3 hours was ridiculous.
Very good rule of thumb is to never ever stop at a rest area after dark unless there's several of you in the car and the rest area is busy with other non-truck travelers. I would say if you're traveling alone, it's best to never stop at a rest area period unless it's very busy and the middle of the day. With as many gas stations, fast food restaurants, and convenience stores out there next to highways in the US, there's few places you can drive within the continental United States that won't have a 24 hour open place to stop within 20 - 30 miles so why someone would purposely plan to stop at a rest area after dark is beyond me.
I think it's true, lots of psychos out there. In this case perhaps.... a deformed one wondering rest stops sand staking victims. Ohio sounds lucky he caught on

The driver story scared the hell out of me. True or not.
I have some explanations, but this seems to be a tough crowd on this thread, and I don't feel like being bashed just now.
