Just because their flight paths cross, doesn't mean the planes weren't safely separated; those two contrails could easily have +2,000 feet of vertical separation, it's difficult to judge height from the ground.

Consider that if the two planes had come anywhere near each vertically, you'd see disruption of the contrails where they cross, even when the flights are separated by several minutes (google wake turbulence).

As has been said it doesn't mean they were anywhere near each other, but that doesn't make any difference to the appearance anyway, on another day their contrails may not have been visible at all...

I didn't watch the video, but that hardly proves that aircraft are deliberately spraying out chemicals to alter the weather/kill off the population/appease the sky gods now does it

Even as an airline pilot, I have friends that believe in chemtrails. I also have friends that believe in sky gods that watch you while you're sleeping and know when you're awake so I reserve judgement. People can be ecentric and humorous but damn does it make this world an enjoyable place to live in. Relax and enjoy the ride folks, nobody gets out alive.

I took a weather modification class as a grad student in environmental sciences in the mid 1970s taught by a couple of the people who were early researchers on weather modification (one was Joanne Simpson, can't remember the other prof). Some large scale experiments had been done in the 60s and early 70s using silver iodide and other chemicals.

The conclusion was inconclusive -- and in spite of the fact that the profs were believers they failed to turn us grad students into believers. Fact: spraying chemicals to alter the weather does NOT work, and the evidence that suggests otherwise is not convincing. Killing off the population, I couldn't tell you. That would kind of cut into the voter base, wouldn't it?

Every photo I've seen of supposed chemtrails looks to me like a photo of a contrail that's been smeared by wind shear. The latter happens when there's a slightly different wind speed between two layers of air; it can cause all sorts of interesting cloud effects -- and that's all a contrail is, a cloud created by jet exhaust.

I've grown up looking at contrails streaked through the skies; in Colorado the sky is very blue & they really stand out.

I thought (anybody, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) that we also just see more of them because of our altitude? We are right at the foot of Pikes Peak in the Rocky Mountains & I've heard that planes flying too low while clearing the front range are in danger of being caught in a wind-shear phenomena.

Also, my city is surrounded by 5 military installations; NORAD to the W, Fort Carson to the SW, Peterson AFB to the SE, Shriver AFB to the NE & the USAFA to the N... Factor in the civilian airport to the E & that pretty much wraps up all our lower altitude air space.

There is one very active flight path that is used for primarily W to Eastbound aircraft, very high altitude & clears the front range inbetween Pikes Peak & NORAD. Those contrails remain intact for HOURS.

I did see, last weekend; a very large drone flying in very restricted air space; not sure what that was all about.
