My mom died on March 25th.. My dad picked out a burial plot based on her request that she buried close by her grandchild; my little girl who passed away 23 years ago, today.

I heard a ringing sound during a burial. It’s not a wind chime but a continuous “chime-y” ring; almost like the sound of a harp or those Tibetan bowls.

Everybody else was hugging & crying at her plot but I heard something “singing” from the north & I took my youngest son to follow it. He could hear it too but I found out later that nobody else did.

I followed the sound to the bottom of this little hill where some of the oldest graves are; a very pretty area & directly halfway in between Jessica’s grave & my mom’s. The sound would intermittently start & stop but it was definitely strongest there.

The sound was so pure & beautiful that I was crying & smiling at the same time. I’ve become a bit obsessed with trying to find & recreate that tone. I know it sounds strange but both my son & I were found to have a perfect sense of pitch (both in the 4th grade) & I have never heard a sound that pure before.

I looked up everything I could think of, even the cemetery website to see what it was but they didn’t mention anything. I thought maybe somebody had made an Aeolian wind harp & it was nearby but I never saw a thing.

I have found out that I have no talent whatsoever in making my own Aeolian harp. I tried making yard “hooters”. I’ve bought wind chimes. Nothing makes that sound

Online searches keep turning up results that describe it as a paranormal experience?

Sorry for your loss. Not sure if I'd describe it as paranormal, generally those have a hint of the creepy. This sounds as though possibly your mom was trying to let you know she is alright, and maybe reunited with your daughter. Of course there could be a perfectly rational explanation, but I'd prefer to see it as something meant to give you comfort, especially if you believe in an afterlife.

I was at Best Friends animal sanctuary in Utah where they have a large pet cemetery. I was told whenever they bury a pet there all the wind chimes start chiming. Maybe you experienced something like that.

I've read a few times about angelic encounters where these sounds like you describe are experienced by people. ''Angelic voices''.
I think your mom and daughter are together and rejoicing and trying to communicate that to you. They are at peace.

Most smart phones have a voice memo app built in to record via the phone's built in microphone. That cemetery might be a good place to make use of it.
