Do others get them? I've had them happen through out my life. Just random things like while waiting in line once holding my newborn baby and older woman came up to me and said " he is a very old soul and has had many lives before coming to be your son." At the time I Smiled and said something then turned around then when I turned back to her she was gone. This is an example of the type of thing I'm asking about.
Today I was checking out at a store and had my daughter with me. The man , who was in his twenties, said to my daughter "you're 18 aren't you?" She answered yes, then he said "your birthday is August 15th." Yes her birthday is the date he gave. It was creepy. There was no way for him to know that!
I don't know about that. This has happened to me in every town I've lived in from one coast to another. That would lead me to believe it has little to do with the town/community or place I'm living.
I was at a store where my husband worked. In came a rather disheveled lady...scampering around. I had my two sons with me. My eldest son was around 6. She placed her hand over his head and chanted that he was a SPECIAL Child and would go far. Yet she jeered at my other son and walked away. To this day it gives me shivers to recall that ladys' antic. I sensed her to be evil...and not the kind of evil that one wants to meet in a dark alley. How cruel for her to dismiss my youngest....My oldest son even said, Mom why did that lady touch my head ...I didn't like that!
Seriously she reminded me of one of the witches from the Macbeth tale.
I also recall having a Tarot reading done at around the age of 11....THe lady looked in horror at one point and told me to leave...that I was filled with horror and dishonor.....At the ripe age of 50 something...I think I understand what she meant. It's been a life filled with poor decisions and dishonor for those around my being. Luckily I have the mind to do better and make amends....I'd like to think that lady was only partly right....

Maybe this is a little harsh, but I feel there are always mediumistic people who think they have a duty to give un-asked for messages. I am sure they are well intentioned too. Perhaps there are pushy or eager spirits who want to get through to loved ones.
I used to have this but I decided I did not want these 'messages'. The net result is that I think this intention is broadcast and so they stop. At least they did for me. I believe many of these people are reading our energy fields anyway, so I kind-of decided to "close my book" to outside readers. I think my book is none of their business.
Maybe your 'book' is too easily read by anyone passing by, who has a mind to read a page or two?
I've had more than one comment directed at me personally during times when I really needed to hear something positive or encouraging. I can think of 3 right now, but don't care to elaborate as they were so personal that there had to be some divine origin behind them. I do believe in angels or spiritual guides and these fell into that realm of experience. ''Right words given at the right time'' sort of thing.

Lots. And none of them include anything Mysterious or Strange.
1) cold reading
2) they are themselves loons prone to making ridiculous pronouncements because they like the attention they get or to watch people being put off balance, or they're off their meds.
3) the guy has seen your daughter elsewhere, perhaps has seen her driver's license or other ID to get into a club, movie, or bar, or simply when writing a check or checking ID prior to using a debit or credit card. Or he knows someone who knows her. Or he has been stalking her. Or any combination of those, plus lots of other non-mysterious things.

Well, then perhaps its has a lot to do with you, and you might want to spend some time looking inward rather than outward for the answer, if you feel one is needed.
I was at a casino playing at a table. I was up $3000 when some stranger old man came from behind and uttered something to me.
