Its interesting. Hard to get hopes up though with so many possibilities of its cause. There is a large concentrated effort going on among multiple astronomers, would be awesome if it was confirmed as a signal from an intelligent civilization.
There's always that tiny hope with these things, so far all have been explained as something else. Maybe one day we get the big world changing surprise.
I am not saying they are wrong in giving us the explanation the signal came from satellites., I am however, just saying that this explanation can always be used for Earth-based radio telescopes.
Why dont they stick a radio telescope out in space or on the Moon and then they can move that one to the same coordinates and tell for certain. That would be too black-and-white for them. No wiggle room.

Scientists would love to do that, and the problem isn't that it would be too black or white. The problem is that it would be too green. You're talking about a project that could run in the billions of dollars. Who is going to pay for it?
Easy to blame it on "Cant get the funding", but funding is available for other large projects. Just ask the same people who pay for the Earth-based ones. OK, so the huge dishes collect and focus the radio waves but they have other types of receivers as well as the huge dishes, maybe we could use a different design if it is in space?
There would be lots of countries whose scientists would pay to rent time on that, just as they do on the Earth-based ones. If necessary we could build one on the Moon and have it remote controlled. We are going there anyway, so why not use the surface to stick one of these monsters on?
Nah, I dont think we will ever have one, as I said... No wiggle room. Particularly if they place it on the Moon and point it away from Earth so there is no doubt the signals are coming from space-based sources.
