In the age of technology, where everyone (practically) has HD cameras in their pockets, with video and picture capabilities, where have all the sightings gone? Surely, they would have gone up with the popularity of cellphones and their cameras.
I want to believe, but why so silent on current, new, compelling sightings?

Very good point! Within hours of the 2013 meteor over Russia, numerous videos of the event recorded by people on the ground went online. Where are camera recordings of real UFOs?
And there you have it. What do you know? What do I know? What does anyone actaully KNOW about UFOs and/or Aliens?????? Even if you or I did "know" something, WHAT DIFFERENCE WOULD IT MAKE?????????
I have no idea why you are posting or what point you are trying to make.
I've seen UFOs before. I wave at them to come and abduct me so that way I can see what their way of life is like. I've been ignored every time but I'm still confident one of these days I'll get abducted fingers crossed.

Did you ever stop to think there may be a reason for this, or why every UFO video/ picture that is caught, tends to be blurry out of focus?
I think it has something to do with their nature, our technology and 'them' and/or their ships are just not compatible with each other.

I would be careful about what you wish for, this is a very traumatic thing to go thru, plus you will have to deal with no one taking you seriously, claiming you are making it all up, etc.

If you're faking a photo or video, you're better off making it blurry or out of focus or at a distance to keep the data in the image minimal so people can't examine it too closely.
The rest that are not fakes - they're typically at a distance taken by people at night with hand held cameras or phones, often in a state of excitement. Phoenix Lights are a good example of this. What were they? Who knows - all you can say is they're several lights in a big V way off in the distance. It's an enormous jump from a bunch of distant lights to proof that we're being visited by intelligent aliens.
