Storm downgraded to Category 2. The power of intention. Quantum physics.
What a relief. Category 2 means the winds are only blowing at a puny 96 to 110 mph. If it stays on land it'll fizzle out to a heavy rain storm farther north. But it could possibly head back out to the Gulf and pick up more power to hit the pan handle and possibly some other southern states. Hopefully the surges in Florida won't turn out to be floods that too destructive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saffir...3Simpson_scale
Funny thing - I don't see any mention of prayer for those afflicted by this disaster: for mercy, succor, strength to persevere. For frightened children and old people who have lost everything. It all seems to about exerting power over the inanimate and the thrill of an illusory victory that had nothing to do with the actions of George Noory and his followers.
It might just work. Was it Hurricane Danny back in the 90s that was heading out to sea and then moved back and gave an extremely drought stricken mid atlantic badly needed precipitation? People wanted that hurricane to move inland and it suddenly did. I think bad( negative) karma also influences weather and natural phenomena.
Just yesterday I was in a really rotten mood dealing with a minor home repair. The whole day I had bad luck that seemed to follow me. Parking trouble. Power outage at a business and restaurant I wanted to go to. Messed up order at a restaurant for dinner. My dad called it a "hoodoo". Gotta think positive and say a prayer.
Not sure. Prayer might be attuning your subconscious/unconscious to the desired result and help in that way. Maybe it helps people cope better. Maybe there are benevolent spirits around that can "hear" us and help?
For large Fated Natural Disasters, I don't know. Less convinced. I think it makes us feel more in control than anything else. But, does it really change anything? I read a book on Prayer years ago--Larry Dossey. I think he was a physician. Has statistics in it, etc.
My sister lives in Miami, along with the 4 teenagers still home, and my fur nephew. We wanted her to evacuate and come to SC/NC but she stayed home. My Mom and I prayed (we are usually not praying type of people) and my Mom said we needed to "think" the storm would go away from Miami.
Not only did my sister's home not suffer any issues, other than the fence blowing down, but they are one of the few that never lost power!!!! Prayer, positive thoughts, luck, we don't care, we are just happy they were all ok. In fact, everyone I know in Florida are fine, had nothing to deal with more than power outages, or a fence down.
