What makes you think that? And what do you mean by "ghosts" exactly?
That's awesome! Good for you. If you publish, please let us know.
How are you using the term "haunted" exactly?
To me, ghosts are people who have died, either in a horrible fashion, or have unfinished business. Most are residual, as in, it's like a video on a loop. An imprint. That's what I believe the Lincoln train is. The great sorrow of the people imprinted on the tracks so much, the train still appears.
I also believe the ghost of Katherine Howard still runs through the great hallway in Hampton about to beg the Kings forgiveness...to stave off her horrible fate of being beheaded. Didn't work. https://www.hrp.org.uk/hampton-court...herine-howard/
Rarely, you get a ghost who has evolved enough to communicate. And is yet too afraid to move on?
All of this is sheer speculation, of course, based on my readings, because I have never really witnessed a spirit. Frankly, I'm not sure about ghosts...but they are far more real to me than vampires, werewolves and ETs.
But...in good writing, the world one creates is very important. If I have all the "facts", what I write won't seem to most people as if it isn't true. You've heard the term suspension of disbelief...the very first person I have to do that to is me.
I'm also not sure about demons. However, I was raised in a United Methodist church and was a kid during the Exorcist movie hype, where practically every kid knew somebody who knew somebody who knew somebody this actually happened to...
And my minister said if you don't mess with this stuff, it won't come knocking on your door.
Tallysmom, are you in IL? I don't think I've ever heard of anyone outside of IL who know about Bachelor's Grove, which is why I'm asking.
No...from PA, moved to CA.
But, wow. I thought Bachelors Grove was well known. Kind of like Resurrection Mary. I think I heard about it on a TV show. An early one, like haunted Illinois. There's an older show narrated by John Glover...looked it up, Haunted History.
There are haunted objects. There was a whole TV show about a group of ghost hunters that collected haunted objects.
There was "Haunted Collector", with John Zaffis and his kids; maybe that's what you're thinking of? Zak Bagans of Ghost Adventures has a museum in Las Vegas of haunted objects, and I see on Destination America that there's a series he's doing now called "Deadly Possessions".
By the way, for those who like such things, I get the Destination American channel with my Playstation Vue subscription. All your favorite paranormal shows, and more.

It's possible it IS well known and I've just been unaware of it. It's interesting how some land is just prone to activity and some isn't. Thanks for the link!
Its hard to find a paranormal show thats 100% legit . I like Ghost Adventures , but I know there has to be parts that are faked and or over done . Paranormal Lockdown is OK . The Lowe Files says its all real and he does investigations sometimes.
