No, actually referring to 'tin foil hats' serves the whole purpose of a 'conspiracy theory' perfectly.

Its quite interesting to learn where the term 'conspiracy theory' came from, and why it was coined and still used today. Its been very effective to say the least!

It just goes to show that it's the ordinary goofball who thinks that tinfoil or aluminum foil are going to have any effect. If you REALLY want to block the thought-scanners, you use lead foil.

Even Superman can't see through lead.

I think they're all off base. Brainwaves are essentially electrical impulses, and all metals will conduct electricity to varying degrees. But rubber? Surely rubber will protect us!
