First, let me say that, for the most part, I do not "believe" in dreams. I don't believe every dream is a message from the beyond, etc.
However, some dreams are exceptional. There are things we don't understand. Ok, I had a weird dream last night. I was trying to make a call using my cell phone and I simply couldn't dial the last four numbers. They were 2556. Finally, in the dream, I got my son to dial the number, and it went through. Then, I heard a voicemail, babbling in some unidentifable language. Then, I kept hearing it say 2556, over and over. It was like a mechanical, or computer-generated voice.
I actually woke up hearing it. I can't get it out of my head, 2556. Its not anything obvious, like an address, or phone number, etc.
anyone have any idea what this means? Or is it "just a dream?"
I dreamt 415 on two seperate occasions years ago and the next day, each time, it came up as the daily number but I still think it was total coincidence...it could be a number you saw on TV or in a store or anything else. The brain just processes things we think about during the day and also things that we remember when awake or that bother us and mixes them all up to make some type story aka dream.
I tend to believe most dreams are just the brain chewing on random thoughts you might have keyed on while awake. Its the brain entertaining itself while waiting for you to wake up.
But this dream was so intense. It was like someone saying the numbers over and over, even for ahwile when I woke up.
Ok, I googled it, I don't feel like finding the articles again and pasting them, but there were two possible meanings:
A Biblical connection--somehow the numbers connect to the Greek alphabet, and corrolate to biblical adjectives, all meaning something evil, danger, etc.
2556 is the marker number for a human gene connected with neuro transmissions
Well, I have a hard time making anything of this. Its not connected to an old phone number, pin number, address, birthdate, etc.

That IS a very creepy dream! I think it's somehow significant that your son was able to get through, but you weren't. It also might be a clue that the voice was MECHANICAL. @O@
