This has been happening on and off for a number of years now. House wiring is good, light seasonal allergies treated w otc. Geez, I hope it's not a brain tumor... yikes!
"It's not a tumor."
Couldn't resist. The on and off aspect is how I figured out my dehydration thing. Took a while.
I kept smelling cigar smoke, husband would smell it sometimes, but not other times. Was getting kind of freaked out until we found out the new neighbor who bought the house behind us smoked a cigar on his back porch late in the evening. Mystery solved.
Yes - See list of causes in article I linked. If it were a seizure or migraine, the smell would be experienced in conjunction with the seizure or migraine.
Thank you. I get aura migraines which I thought was the cause years ago... have had all the usual testing ... no known etiology. No history of seizures.
I did suspect they were connected but doc said migraines shouldn't cause it and I don't notice the smell around the auras or pain ... but he could be wrong.

Or maybe they're related to a very minor migraine event without any other symptoms? Don't know if that's possible - but since you have a history of migraines that would be my bet.
