Balloons and kites? The first hot air balloon didn't go up until the 1780s. Kites don't have lasers or people sitting in them as is shown in some paintings. Just saying it's nothing more than people's imaginations makes more sense than balloons and kites.
The balloons and kites reference was a response to this comment that you made:

Where it seems that you believe that planes are the only man made thing that would be in the skies, which is not true at all. You saying " Just saying it's nothing more than people's imaginations makes more sense than balloons and kites" is backed up by what exactly though? Your wish to believe that they were extraterrestrial? Cause there really is not that much information that says either way.
It is amazing that you think that you know exactly what these pictures mean when there is no real text supporting you, you just take a smattering of things, throw them against the wall and declare your superiority. That is not an honest way to have a civil discussion looking for real answers.
Thank you. I pulled up several pics that came up on the topic without doing further research. My fault as I was in a hurry when I posted it. But as you know there are several others that were done in the 15th century that depict UFOs.
Nope - they depict something that you're assuming are UFOs rather than something that made sense in terms of the artistic conventions of the artist's culture. Modern people also have grown up with the idea that paintings are representational, so when they see a stylized cloud they assume they represent an object with that shape. We read our modern assumptions into them - which drives a lot of the nonsense coming out of the "Ancient Aliens" crowd. When the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. See my comments about the supposed "piloted" UFOs in my earlier post: they believed comets accompanied important events like the Nativity, that they were divine signs, and that they were angelic "vehicles".

Yes, this is true, and at the time, they truly believed this, they thought it was a fact...kind of like how we think we know what comets really are today...right? We think we are absolutely correct too and it is a fact. LOL
If history is any indicator though, eventually we may be proven wrong, or at least not entirely correct. Every generation/ civilization believes they have it all figured out and that they are the ones who are right.

Regarding comets, yes, we do have a very good idea what comets really are. The Rosetta spacecraft was sent to Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The Rosetta's Philae probe landed on the surface of the comet. The probe landed in a bad location (too much shade), so the solar panels were unable to keep the probe charged, and ultimately ceased functioning. But we gained some very interesting views about the comet. What made this mission historical is that it was the first time to make a reasonably soft landing on a comet, even though the probe landing was kind of a failure. But we did get images of the landing and from the surface.

There's a huge difference: as NightBazaar points out, we've actually been there. And even before the flybys and landing, we had a good grasp of their nature from observation and spectrographic analysis.
So you're claiming the medieval paintings are illustrating some reality that we're not aware of today regarding the "true" nature of comets?

The difference is that science is the pursuit of knowledge. The difference is that people interested in science come up with a question and search for a solution using defined methods, they test the method to see if the solution is viable. If the solution does not work they discard or modify the proposed solution. People like you come up with a solution and look for evidence to support that solution. If anything does not support or refutes the question you throw the solution away and hunt for another solution that supports what you wish to believe.

You're welcome. We all make mistakes from time to time. Good point about there being several other old artworks that depict what UFO buffs claim to be UFOs. Are they really showing UFOs of extraterrestrials? It doesn't hurt to be skeptical. Perhaps it's better to see what real experts on the subject of art history have to say about what these things are actually showing, and why such things were included by the artists.

No, just saying that every generation thinks they have it all figured out, and they are right/ everyone in the past was wrong or not entirely correct.
No one on here is ever going to change anothers opinion, the skeptics believe they are right and those like me, believe we are right, and it just becomes a back and forth, trying to prove each other wrong in an attempt to change their opinion...its just not going to happen though.

The issue here isn't people thinking they have things figured out when they don't, it's moderns reading their own reality into the past. See for example:
Looks like she's texting on her cell phone, doesn't it? It's a prayer book - but we're so used to seeing people walking down the sidewalk texting that our brains are predisposed to interpret an image like this as someone using a cell phone.
Same with some of the time traveler photos floating around out there -- like the woman in the 1924 photo who appears to be talking on a cell phone but in reality is using an early hearing aid (what sort of reception would she get on a cell phone in an era when there was no service, any way?):
Same deal with the "UFOs" in the medieval paintings that get everyone excited -- or the cave paintings that supposedly show "aliens", or the Mayan "astronaut". We're used to seeing photos of UFOs and space capsules, and drawings of aliens, so we interpret another culture's artistic conventions through the lens of our own culture.

The difference is I do not have to lie to make my points.
