All the foods gifted in these stories are described as tasteless. Why?

So the brilliant aliens who came here to "create" us keep coming back over vast distances and many millenia to give us their crappy cooking. Sorry, I don't buy it. Whatever the reality behind all these reports, I don't think it's alien flesh and blood beings involved. I think you're onto something when you suggest it's something much deeper and darker than we think.
If the food was tasteless, you can be sure they weren’t Italian! AYYYYYYY!

I had a chance to read some of the publications in the UFO
database.

The Apro Bulletin from the 1950's is a sincere attempt to document
UFO sightings and manages to pack detailed reports within limited
space. This was during a time when letter writing and phone calls
were the primary channels of communications at the citizen level.
Interplanetary News and Civilian Saucer Investigation (CSI) are
also good publications for research.

Mystic from 1954 is also interesting but is more a paranormal magazine
with UFO sightings sprinkled in. It also seems like an early attempt
to capitalize on the paranormal market. Put Beyond Reality in that
category also.

Flying Saucer Comics is great (and also capitalizes on the UFO phenomenon).

Dharma Combat is quite weird and reads more like a series of manifestos than
a UFO publication. The publisher has strong political views and lets that fact
dominate his writings. The paranormal takes a back seat to his rants.

Stigmata is the cattle mutilation publication I mentioned in a previous post.

Fortean Society Magazine and Doubt are the among the earliest publication in the database and
are more about astronomy and exploration. Strange incidents while observing the skies and exploring
the land and seas are reported, however.

All in all, great thanks to Isaac Koi for creating this astonishing database. He said this is one of three.
One of the best Christmas presents I ever received and a gift that will keep on giving to the UFO
community for years.

A mother(ship) lode.
