I've seen a lenticular cloud, and it was at Edwards. I live in the Southeast, and the air there is remarkably clear compared to what I'm used to. Things can be seen at a distance with remarkable detail. There was no mistaking that what I saw was a cloud ... it was quite large, and even though it had the shape of a classic "flying saucer", it was easily identifiable as a cloud. I found it interesting enough to pull off the road and watch it for a while though, because I'd never seen one before. This was in the late '80s/early '90s so there were no cell phones with cameras then, and photography was prohibited on the base anyway.
