These bits of cave art are sometimes cited by the UFO and/or Bigfoot crowd to "prove" their claims are real and have been known to humanity for hundreds of years. But check out this one in particular:
I know you meant that sarcastically, but Bigfoot enthusiast use this cave art to assert that with utter seriousness.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised. Maybe the artist should've drawn in a large honker to resemble BigNose. What was surprising is that the owner of the ranch doesn't seem to know much about the graffiti, which makes me wonder as to the authenticity of it. I also wonder if any reliable paleontologists have an opinion about it. Dating seems to range from 1 AD to 1200 AD. That's quite a range. I would think the dating of the petroglyphs could be narrowed down a lot more. Apparently the ranch has an Information Center. I suspect they have the usual assortment trinkets and bumper stickers on sale as well.
Everyone here knows that I am a skeptic about ghosts, bigfoot, aliens, and all of the rest of it, but I am 100% willing to accept the reality of Galactus based on some dodgy cave vandalism.
Hopefully we can prove the existence of Black Queen from the X-Men, too.
