Full disclosure, if you don't know me, I am not a believer, but I love this stuff on a fun level. So I am not claiming this is paranormal, but it was odd.

Off work this week, and my mom and I thought we would take my mother-in-law to an old mission. We can only go so far because my baby, who is about 22 months, doesn't like to ride. The mission seemed like the best bet for a close-by outing.

We got there, and tried to go inside, but my daughter absolutely would not allow it. She started shaking her head and saying "no, no, no." We tried to talk soothingly to her, but she was flat out not having any of it. She is certainly shy around people, but has never acted this way towards as specific place.

Here is the fun part: the mission itself is allegedly haunted, which I might have vaguely known, though I just like to go there because I like history.

Eerie experiences in Mission San Jose of Fremont

My mom took her outside and they walked around the courtyard while I took my mother-in-law for the tour. She did all right, and even went inside the church.

Now, when we went home, it got weird again. She absolutely flipped out in the car, which, to an extent, is normal. But usually music on the cell phone distracts her, and she is fine for awhile, but today she was downright inconsolable, and loud. When we got her home, she didn't want eat, despite not having had much that day but a light breakfast and snacks, and my mom put her to bed. Despite the fact that it was an unstenuous day, and she hasn't been napping much lately, she slept for three hours.

When she woke up, she was entirely fine, happy, smiling, and ate like a little horse.

Make of it what you will. I make no claims. But that is what happened, and it struck me as strange.

My mom and I went there one of the last times she was out. Didn’t experience anything, but I think my mother and I are the types. It is beautiful, though.
