Despite past attempts to land on Phobos the last being Russia. Japan is preparing their own lander for Phobos, Martian moon.

Now the reason why this would be interesting because Russia is still claiming their satellite and lander was shot down near Phobos. The last picture beamed back showed shadows of a large circular object near the satellite and what looks like a projectile shot towards it before it lost contact.

The 2nd mystery involves the monolith on the surface of Phobos imaged by the NASA martian surveyor over a decade ago.

JAXA is not any different to NASA I am sorry to say. In my view, they are as involved in the alien conspiracy as the USA are. Just my opinion though. Still, we will see what images they produce for us.

There's very credible evidence back then in the public news that a Russian satellite suddenly lost communication for no reason and disappeared when it tries to get photos of Phobos. JAXA can't spill anything without consulting the US.
