I didn't get a picture at all. You can't take the persons description of the evil animal too serious. Just last night when my wife was taking our dog for a walk. Some older lady told her our dog looked evil and vicious. My wife assured her our dog was nice. The lady then replied that it was good she was walking with him(our dog) because nobody would bother her with such a vicious dog with her.

I don’t understand how an animal can be considered evil.

Many people equate being "ugly" with evil, especially unfortunate animals.

It was originally posted 2005. Might not be able to pull up the photo. When I clicked it was text only.

This is old news. Later DNA testing revealed it to be a wolf/dog hybrid, the dog half likely being a chow.

There are no permanent populations of wolves in Maine as far as we know, but strays do sometimes wander over from Canada.

Quote:
Loren Coleman, a Portland author and cryptozoologist, said it's unlikely that the animal was anybody's pet.

After reviewing photos of the carcass, Coleman said he was bothered by the animal's ears and snout. It reminded him of a case years ago in northern Maine in which an animal shot by a hunter could not be identified.

In the end, wildlife officials got a DNA analysis that showed the animal was a rare wolf-dog hybrid, he said.
